Catch up!

What a busy few months it’s been!  Let me catch you up on everything.

Thanksgiving we were lucky enough to head to Georgia to spend it with our families.  It was a busy, fun trip, we started off in Atlanta to see my sister and her family, followed by a few days with Peter’s dad’s family, had Thanksgiving dinner with his mom’s family and friends, and finally rounded out the week with a quick visit to my parents.  We were so glad to get to see everyone and spent a little time with everyone, it’s never long enough, but we’re glad for all the time we can get!

Next was Christmas, and thankfully Peter’s work schedule worked out to where we were able to head South again!  This time we reversed our order and started at my parents’ house, spent a few days before and after Christmas with them.  While there Peter’s dad’s family dropped in for a meal, they were headed to Florida for the holiday so we weren’t going to get to see them on this trip.  After spending Christmas with my folks we headed to Peter’s mom’s, and enjoyed a few days with them.  On our way back home we were even able to see Peter’s dad’s family for a night again.  We had a great time and were home just in time for New Year’s Eve.

Ok, so maybe it wasn’t that busy but life has happened and we’ve got some pretty big news.

This is why I haven’t posted in several months.   This little one has thrown me for a loop, and I’ve been sick most all of December and January.   We’re very excited for him or her to get here and all the changes s/he’ll bring, including moving somewhere new in a few months!  I’m due July 24th; making me 17 weeks, or just over 4 months today, what a great Valentine’s present!  In a few short weeks we get to find out what we’re having, and I, personally, cannot wait! Pray s/he is agreeable that day and shows us the “goods,” LOL!

So, now you know the real reason we haven’t updated in several months, we had a big secret we wanted to keep, and that’s also all I wanted to talk about, such warring and opposite feelings, it was best just to stay away.

And with that, we wish you a very happy and wonderful Valentine’s Day from the Hudsons!  <3

Hurricane Sandy

We survived Frankenstorm 2012!

How cute of a nickname is that for a bad storm predicted for near Halloween!  Lol, well, I guess to those severely affected by it, no matter what you called it it’s probably not cute or funny.   Thankfully Peter and I aren’t too close to the coast so we only got (a lot of) rain, and some (at times strong) wind.  Oh, and Peter got to work from home, so I got to see his handsome face a little more during the day than normal, lol.  We’re very glad we didn’t lose power and that no trees fell near us.  The news has been full of scenes from around the area locally, and even the whole north east, of trees down, roads flooded, houses flooded and even some destroyed.

Please keep those who were not as fortunate in your thoughts and prayers as they rebuild, recover, and dry out.

Hello!

Hi everyone! Peter and I wanted to start a blog to keep our family and friends up to date on what’s happening here in our lives.  We know it’s hard to keep in contact with each other when we’re so far apart from everyone, so hopefully this will give you a little insight to our wonderful adventures both near and afar, interesting and not-so-interesting, lol, we’ll try to keep them interesting. :P

We’ve had a busy year so far, so in the coming weeks/months along with updating you on our current lives we’ll throw in some recaps of the highlights from this year.

This is definitely a work in progress, so please feel free to give us feedback on what you think and what you’d like to see.  We’ll try to make it happen!
